About the Primary Instructor:
Sensei David Blair is the Chief instructor at the Fontana Karate Club and has Black Belts ranking in two different styles of Karate and has also studied weaponry & sword.
He is a 7th degree Black Belt Master who has 40 years of Karate experience.
He studied Karate in Japan for five years dedicating his life to the art. While in Japan he lived in the ZEN Temple and studied the mental aspects of the art. He has a B.S. degree from Cal Poly University in sociology and has his teaching credential. He has also studied Eastern Philosophy at Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan.
He was a U.S. National team coach, a former Golden Glove Champion and has more than 35 years experience to offer you and your family in the arts.
Blair was inducted to the Black Belt "Hall of Fame" in 2007 and was also inducted in to the city of Fontana "Wall of Fame" in 2007 by the Mayor of Fontana and local Congress woman Josie Gonzales.
He brings to his classes a wealth of knowledge and experience. Sensei Blair was rated a top "8" Karate player in the World Championships and was a highly acclaimed competitor in the United-States winning many tournaments.
Because of Sensei Blair's approach to teaching, the school has grown from a few students to near capacity classes. For the past 20 years a tradition of "Quality” has been emphasized in the school.
